Articles

So we spent the class today researching articles about Afghanistan - I know we found some interesting things, and really noticed that people tend to focus on the killings and deaths, but don't explain the circumstances surrounding the events...

What did everyone else find!?

i found an article that talked about what the US is doing wrong. it was all about the Afghan people who helped out the US military and weren't being properly protected by the US government. they were being targeted by militants and many were dying. the only way they can escape it is to move to the US. which they can't do without visas. which they don't have thanks to the US government. so what can they do?

I found an article about this girl who was an amazing soccer player in Afghanistan and the top of the league. She was also very stong willed and defied the taliban by throwing off her burqa and running. She was beaten for doing that but she didnt give up. She moved to America and was accepted into a soccer school where she is a regular student. Few people know that she is a hero in Afghanistan due to her soccer skills and her defing the Taliban.
